Our Hearts & Hands group, along with knitting partners at St. Joseph Church in Millstone, donated 80 Knitted Knockers to the New Jersey Knitted Knocker branch. Quite an accomplishment! Learn more about this mission here.
The Greater Community Assistance Program (GAP) of Neshanic Reformed Church provides assistance to families that experience a gap in paying for expenses such as rent or utilities due to an unexpected circumstance. The disbursements are one-time gifts that are meant to help others navigate financial strains and difficulties in the midst of a short –term crisis. These gifts are always coupled with prayers and appropriate follow-up by our church Deacons. Donations are accepted throughout the month.
As we continue to plan the safe resumption of activities, the Learning Committee is happy to bring back Sunday School starting this Mother's Day Sunday through Father's Day Sunday! Our short-term goal is to provide a fun space for fellowship and reconnection. We will offer a simple lesson aligned with Pastor Chris's sermon message, and then children will have the opportunity to do a craft or other activity, draw with chalk, blow bubbles and simply enjoy some free time in each other's company.
All children will start by attending church service at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. Following the Children's Message, weather permitting, we will meet in the courtyard. If the weather is inclement, we will meet in Fellowship Hall with the window and doors open. Masks will continue to be required whether meeting outdoors or indoors, social distancing will be encouraged, and hand sanitizer will be offered.
In order to offer weekly sessions through June 20, we are asking for a minimum of two adult volunteers to lead (older children are welcome to assist). Please consider your availability over the next few weeks to oversee a session and sign up by contacting the church office.
