The Worship Committee is excited to announce our plans in light of the tough year we’ve all had with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Weather permitting at 5:00 p.m., there will be an Outdoor Christmas Pageant for all families to enjoy in our parking lot that will include the singing of our favorite Christmas hymns. We are in need of some “enactors” for this event – you know, a Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, Shepherds, Angels, Wise Men, etc. If you and/or your family would like to be part of this telling of the Christmas Story, please contact the church office and let us know no later than Friday. December 11th.
At 7:30 p.m., we will offer a virtual Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols Service complete with a Christmas meditation on YouTube.
Contact the church office if you would like a set for 2021! Indicate whether you can pick the offering envelopes up at the church or if you would prefer to have them mailed to you
We, as church family, have always generously supported those in need through our township food pantry located in the Hillsborough municipal building. This year, due to the pandemic, the need is even greater. Some opportunities to help during this time are listed below:
Food and non-perishable items – purchase items and drop them off. Donations of food items such as boxed pasta, potatoes, and rice, canned goods such as vegetables, fruit, meats and soups, tea and coffee, toiletry items including deodorant and shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning products are greatly appreciated.
Gift Cards – purchase gift cards to our local grocery stores, ShopRite/Weis/Walmart, and drop them off. (Please do not mail gift cards)
Monetary Donation – checks made out to Hillsborough CAN, and mailed to Hillsborough Township Community Assistance Network, 379 south Branch Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844 or make a donation online.
Volunteers are always welcome in the Social Services Department. Community Assistance Network volunteers are needed to check expiration dates, sort groceries, prepare groceries for clients, inventory control, and to rotate the food supply. All volunteers must have a Municipal Volunteer Form on file. View/print the Municipal Volunteer Form or fill it out online.
On Christmas Eve, the roadside of our property will be adorned with luminaries to celebrate the birth of the Christ child and to highlight our beautiful church!
Individual luminary bags are available for purchase and can be given in honor or memory of friends and loved ones or to the glory of God. Dedications will be published on our website throughout December and a note card will be placed by each luminary bag that is dedicated on December 24!
